Up the ramp, through a door, I walked into the Grand Hall. here in the Majesty of once was the Great Station I could hear no longer the voices of passengers nor could i see the ghosts of the chairs that lived here. there was an eerie silence that filled the room. Every grain of dust or dirt that moved echoed throughout this room in stereo.

"Dear God," I thought, "what have they done to you?" Every window is broken and every door and metal frame shows signs of rust. They had beaten her down. Beaten her down with neglect, with time, with their economy and their politics.

Without warning from across the room a thunderous crash echoes. Debris falls from the tin roof as the Grand hall shakes. My feet now heavier than bricks I thought to myself..."i am not not alone"...

Perhaps a door slamming, perhaps someone is creeping.
